Denier describes the linear density of a yarn. On product pages, the denier is shown with each style to help describe its coverage, from ultra sheer through to opaque.
A higher denier is not a universal measure of durability. It can indicate different coverage, while durability still varies by denier and by how the tights are used.
Choosing the intended size can help avoid unnecessary stretching when putting tights on. A comfortable fit does not remove snag risk, so take time when dressing and avoid pulling sharply on the fabric.
Follow the garment-care label. Before putting tights on, check hands and jewellery for rough edges, roll the fabric gradually up the leg, and handle it gently rather than pulling it into place.
